Whether you're encouraging people to participate in a fundraiser, give blood, or attend a local event, your on-air promotion has to clearly communicate key information about the event, while also attracting viewers to the idea of participating. Here are just a few of the event promos I produced in my years with FOX23.
Beginning in 2013, I led FOX23’s promotion of the Tulsa St. Jude Dream Home© Giveaway for 13 years. Over that time, this annual fundraising campaign has genrated nearly $16 million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the annual Tulsa Heart Walk to pivot to a virtual event. I wanted to create a fun promo that would emphasize the difference and still encourage participation. I found this music track from Universal Production Music and thought it had perfect lyrics and rhythm to accompany some high-energy animated titles.
Blood drives occur frequently all over the place. That's why it's important to give some of them special promotion emphasize the constant need for regular blood donations. I think Sara Whaley and Shae Rozzi did a great job bringing energy to this promo, and I created some lively graphic animations to dress it up with the holiday spirit.
For several years, FOX23 has helped promote a couple of annual home & garden shows put on by a local radio station group. Here's one of the spots I produced for them.
