Fueled by Curiosity — Driven by Creativity — Guided by Compassion
Every special report promo is like a puzzle. You look at a reporter's story script, interviews, and video to find just the right pieces to be intermingled with a few lines of copy that will give viewers a compelling reason to watch the story. I produced a lot of these in my years at FOX23, and guided other promo producers through their own projects. Here's just a small selection of spots I'm proud of.
The FOX23 News team did a remarkable job of exploring this stain on Tulsa's history, while also highlighting what many Tulsans have done to rise out of that dark past and provide hope for the future. I'm happy with the tone this spot sets in promoting the special program.
This a good example of how a reporter's on-location stand-up, compelling sound bites, and surprising video can all come together to make a very compelling case for watching the story.
I'm really happy with the gritty look and feel of the title animations. I feel the editing and sound bites in this one are pretty impactful, too.
This promo emphasizes the positive changes that a dedicated journalist can make in the process of investigating a troubling situation.
I like the title animations I created for this one. I also like the way I cut the credit card swiping shots to the beat of the music.
